I'm dissappointed that people are so dimwitted as to think that this has ANYTHING to do with health. This is about the government mismanaging our money and then coming up with a marketing plan to sell us more taxes.

This country survived for 250 years without having to tax sugary beverages. Why do we have to start now? Because they want to spend the money on other programs.

i don't work for them, i am a contractor who is often there. the tenants are largely a bunch of pampered douche bags and for the price of one of those apartments I could get a much nicer place on the other side of Beacon Hill in a brownstone. I'm not all that impressed with the place. I've never stayed at the hotel though
